Dark rockers Jupiter Crash deliver their odes to darkness, passion, beauty & truth in a powerful fashion reminiscent of early 80’s post-punk and in a style of revolutionary modern Dark.Epic.Rock.
The band recorded their first full-length CD “The Skin Before the Art” at Seattle's legendary London Bridge Studios in late 2006. Produced and engineered by Jonathan Plum.
While lyrically dark on the surface, each track on “The Skin Before the Art” is laced with insight, heartbreak and hope. Steven Parsons delivers his impassioned vocals with a throaty depth that calls to mind the uniqueness of such instantly recognizable vocalists as Ian Astbury,Justin Sullivan and Kory Clarke. Combined with a backdrop of fierce, flawless rhythm with Bill Morgen on bass and T on drums, along with the versatile, high energy guitar talent of Lee Tillman, Jupiter Crash has set a new standard for their genre and created an album that rocks with both dark beauty and depth.

The stylish, crowd-friendly layout and eclectic lineup make this one of Capitol Hill's busiest clubs. Chop Suey's interior has been outfitted by someone with an eye for fashion and a flare for kitsch. Chinese lanterns hang from the ceiling, portraits of Bruce Lee decorate the walls, and a dim, red glow lights the dance floor. The layout is very accommodating to a good show: It's easy to get to both the bar and the bathroom, and the sightlines are decent across the whole room. The calendar is eclectic and might feature DJs one night and indie rock the next.
